ONE PEN TO RULE THEM ALL: MONTEGRAPPA MEETS MIDDLE-EARTH
State-of-the-art technology meets classic design, heritage materials and imaginative presentation in the new Mia Carissima Ebonite.
Based on the same WWI-era model that gave life to 2018’s Montegrappa Mia Carissima, this new variant remains faithful to all the tenets of early twentieth century pen design, but reengineered to withstand the rigours of modern life.
Three rare shades of ebonite provide the base material for three batches to be released throughout 2019. Mia Carissima Ebonite is packed with features that stand apart from the norm. It heightens the pleasure of a vintage retractable nib and generous ink reservoir by adding a specially developed sealing mechanism to protect against old-fashioned leaks. The result? A pen that oozes vintage personality and nothing else.
Exclusively for this legendary collection, Montegrappa technical department has designed and engineered an all-new filling system called EYEDROPPER PLUS.
Despite possessing the same profile as 2018’s sold-out Mia Carissima, materials, mechanisms and presentation have all been overhauled for these new releases.
As well as replacing resin with ebonite, stainless steel trims are used instead of Sterling Silver because of the body material’s chemical composition and tarnishing effect.
A mock-military canvas carrying case has been created to heighten the sense of nostalgia provided by eyedropper filling, a retractable nib and true vintage handle.
This is the third model to be released in the Storia series – a small-batch imprint tracing the stories and legends of Montegrappa, Bassano del Grappa and the surrounding region.
